John Stephens

John has worked in renewable energy and infrastructure finance for over 17 years. He has gained broad experience with developer, investor and banking organisations, having led the financing, development and operations of numerous utility scale wind projects.

John is an FCCA accountant and has been involved in the commercial delivery and management of projects at all stages of the project lifecycle. 

As investment director for an international infrastructure investment company, John led the competitive bidding for renewable energy companies. He developed investment strategies and corporate structures; led the management of due diligence and the negotiation of company acquisition contracts; oversaw project management of matrix teams of advisors; and both secured project finance with international banks. He has also been a key relationship manager and a board director of many project companies during the construction and operations phases.
