Meet the Development Team
Niels Baden Rørholm
Niels started in the wind industry in the early 90's and has over the decades been engaged in roles covering the entire value chain of the wind energy business, ranging from development through to EPC management and operation.
His know-how obtained in the development of business cases and project implementation has been used in consultancy, confirming his deep commercial knowledge and insight into risk mitigation and windfarm financing amongst others.
Combining technical and commercial skills, utilising his toolbox for developing successful commercial on and offshore wind projects worldwide.
Niels has gained considerable experience as a leading consultant and a member of the executive management in the following organizations: K2 Management, SSE, Greentech Energy System, Agder Energy, and for NEG Micon and Envision. This has given him a multicultural approach and insight from both sides of the table, ensuring win/win for the stakeholders involved.
Now leading GEP's project management and origination of projects and DD process of wind opportunities from his advisory/consultancy company Danish Wind Partners
John has worked in renewable energy and infrastructure finance for over 17 years having gained a broad range of experience working for developer, investor and banking organisations. An FCCA accountant, he has been involved in the commercial delivery and management of projects at all stages of their lifecycle.
In particular as an Investment Director for an International Infrastructure Investment company John led the competitive bidding for renewable energy companies including development of investment strategies and corporate structures; led the management of due diligence and the negotiation of company acquisition contracts; the project management of matrix teams of advisors; and both provided and raised project finance with international banks.
He has also been the key relationship manager with clients, partners and developers and a board director of many project companies during their construction and operations phases. During his time in the sector, John has worked across a range of renewable and infrastructure technologies including wind, solar, hydro and biogas leading the business development research into diversifying into new sectors across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
John ensures GEP's finance and commercial agreements are wel looked after.
Dan K. Hansen
Dan brings 30 years of experience in the wind industry to GEP, of which the last 20 years have been whilst living in Australia. Dan has filled a number of senior positions in the industry, including Senior Project Management Country Director for Nordtank/NEG Micon, where he worked together with Niels.
In 2001 Dan took on the role of Head of NEG-Micon’s activities in Australia, which later became Vestas. After this he was appointed director for Suzlon’s Australian wind activities. Most recently Dan’s focus has been consultancy and origination of local green field project development, for both on and offshore wind projects.
Dan brings a long track record of wind project engagements and his many years of hands-on global experience enable him to provide strategy, execution, leadership and technical expertise for GEP's wind project development.
